tele-handlers
Telehandlers are often radio remote controlled for precision operation from a safe location, or when fitted with a man-basket so that they can be controlled from the basket. Safety in such applications is paramount, and the Dynamic series has a STOP command protected to STOP protected to PLe / Cat 4 / SIL 3, and protection against unexpected motion from standstill to PLd / Cat 3 / SIL 2. Typically telehandlers use our FJR remotes, but can also use other smaller or larger remotes depending on the functions required. Graphic displays to show the machine status are available on all models, as is a CANOpen interface if needed. When used in a man-basket it is common to utilise the cable-control option so that the remote acts as a local control panel communicating over the cable, and does not require battery power. - IP65 transmitters and receivers - Rugged fibreglass-reinforced nylon housings - Frequency-hopping spread-spectrum radios for high reliability, interference resistant links - 11 hour run time on a single 4hr charge
Complex control systems for tele-handlers can be built rapidly using our programmable control systems, HMIs, and distributed CAN nodes. Special hazards and regulation exist when telehandlers are used for the movement of people - i.e. as Elevating Work Platforms. The Fusion-S safety PLC can control such hazards up to safety level SIL2.
