Genuine Spare Parts Users of our Autec radio remote controls rely on them day-in and day-out to keep their machines running and productive. Use only genuine Autec spare parts to ensure the ongoing safety and reliability of your system. Our service department routinely speak with customers who are having problems with their remote controls due to the use of non-genuine batteries. In many instances, these have been purchased without realising that they are not real Autec types. As well as being of low quality, and requiring much more frequent replacement, these batteries are often fragile, and internal joins fail when dropped, causing frustrating random drop-outs of the controller. Several Autec controllers have been badly damaged by imitation batteries because the poor tolerances of construction allow them to be inserted upside- down (i.e. in reverse polarity). Genuine batteries can be found in the store
Repairs We build our remote controls tough to suit the most arduous conditions, and they typically last for many years - we see many controllers that we built 10,15, and even 20 years ago still in daily service. But like any mechanism, from time-to-time, some maintenance, repair, modification, or other attention is required. We keep a comprehensive range of spare parts to suit the systems that we build and sell, and have an expert staff on hand to get you back to work as soon as possible.

Technical Support
Some of our customers have felt that sinking feeling that you get when you realise you have left your remote control on the back of the truck when you left the last site…or left their crane remote control on the deck of that truck that just drove off. Don’t panic, we can help. Give us a call, and quote the serial number of the system- you will be able to find it on the lid of the receiver mounted on the machine. (see the illustration below to see what the serial number looks like). For our standard systems, we can usually get you up and running very quickly. For our customised/engineered systems, we may need to refer you to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) if the design is specific to them, or build you a replacement.
If you need technical assistance installing, using, or trouble- shooting your controller, we are happy to help. To make sure we can assist you efficiently, take note of - - The serial number of the controller. You can find this in the battery compartment of the transmitter - note that it may be on the side of the battery compartment. The appearance is similar to the illustration shown here. - The exact problem you have - give us as much detail as possible, for example: - is this a new installation, or an older system? - what type of machine is it? - if you have a problem, did this start when you changed something, repaired the machine, etc? - how do you recover/correct the problem when it occurs? If you are planning to give us a call to fault-find, make sure that you have a test-light and a multimeter on hand, and someone with electrical skills to talk to our technicians.
