Receivers
TYPE DCRS13
9-30VDC (also 24Vac with internal aerial only) IP65 -20 O C to +70 O C operating 120 x 200 x 80 mm 13 x Relays + Safety/Flow + STOP Internal / External aerial 4 x inputs for for use in logic or Data Feedback LEDs
OTHER
The above receiver is the most commonly used for the SK4 remotes as most applications are DC powered, and the number of outputs is normally low. In special cases, where - other bus technologies are used or - there is a requirement for voltage or PWM based outputs or - there are analogue or complex input requirements then other receivers may be better suited. Our experienced engineering department can provide the correct advice.
Questions we are likely to ask when specifying an SK radio control
General: What is the type of machine? Are there specific safety standards applicable? What potential hazards are there, and what is the risk assessment? What is the likely distance between the operator and the machine? What is the operating environment - indoors, open area, building site, etc? What is the usage cycle - e.g. used for 1 x 8-hour shift, 5 days per week? Transmitter: What controls will the operator need? Are there any latching functions, or functions that interact with each other? Are there any interlocks or other logic required? Which commands are permitted to be ON at system-start, and which are forbidden (e.g. motion commands)? Will there be any inputs from the machine, either for display, or that are involved in the logic? Does the machine status need to be displayed on LEDs or a screen? Can the remote be used while charging (SK4 only) ? Receiver: What power supply voltage(s) are available? What are the loads being switched - e.g. relays, hydraulic solenoids, etc? What output currents for these outputs? Will the receiver be mounted in the open, or inside an electrical cubicle? If an external aerial kit is required, what is the required cable length? Charger: Is the supplied cigar-plug adaptor suitable for the application (SK4 only)? Is the charger to be AC or DC (SK8B only)?
